LIDANJAM RAAH

Lidanjam also known as Raah for his popular sound signature RAAAAH is a Music video Script writer, Fusion/Dancehall/Reggae recording and performing Artist born on 16th of August in a Town called Thika (Makongeni Estate) just a few kilometers from Nairobi, the Capital City of Kenya in East Africa Region. He attended primary Education at Jamuhuri Primary school and later went to Broadway High school for his secondary education.

His musical talent was realized at the age of 18 while still in High school in Thika, a town much influenced by Jamaican Culture where Lidanjam developed and learnt Patois through Reggae music inspired by reggae legends Bob Marley, Don Carlos, Denis Brown, Everton Blender and so many other Great musicians.

Lidanjam was raised by a single parent Jane Wanjiru and life wasn't bread and butter for him. Jane Wanjiru as loving mother, with the little she earned she Went out her means and funded Lidanjam's first Trial Recording session in 2005. This Motivated Lidanjam although at the time he was doing music as a hobby and for fun.

The Darkest time for Lidanjam was 2008 when his mother Died after a shot illness. This tragedy affected him in ways he couldn't explain for we know "who knows it feels it and who feels it knows it". In 2009 He decided to move from Thika to Mombasa an Island at the coastline of Kenya where he sort to start a fresh and make something out of himself.

Mombasa is where Lidanjam sort to grow and establish himself as an artist to reckon with. 2010 is the year when Lidanjam decided to pursue Music as a career being motivated to make it and make his late mother proud. With hard work and determination lidanjam was nominated in the Kenya Coast Music Awards year 2010 as the best Reggae/Dancehall Artist of the year but got awarded the title a year later on the second nominations in 2011.

Lidanjam lost touch with the main land Nairobi and his home town Thika for while and saw the need to reconnect with his roots. On 5th November 2012 he relocated from Mombasa to Nairobi to further his musical career, a sacrifice he knew he had to undertake with strength and wisdom from Yahweh Almighty knowing he left his friends and Family at the coast to embark on his musical Journey, not to start over but to step on the next level.

Lidanjam has worked with key industry players in both Local and international level i.e he was managed for a period of 2 years by Lady B Bless the C.E.O of Afrocarib radio formally zimcarib radio based in North Carolina U.S.A until their contract expired and she sort to concentrate on managing the new Afrocarib radio. He has also worked with Different production labels and producers both local and international, Kenya, Germany and Jamaica.

Gyptian, Ding Dong, RDX, Matonya, Doggy Man etc This are Local and international artists that have performed alongside Lidanjam in Kenya.
