Redemption's New Release - NJIA NDEFU (Exclusive)
His Facebook identity reads Redemption Realman. As the name suggests, his fans consider him one of the realest men in the gospel scenes. On his early twenties, Redemption is a popular songwriter and performing artist with his two hit songs; Crossing Over and Yenze topping most of our gospel charts. Crossing Over, his collabo with Guardian angel, brought him to the spotlight 2years ago. I first met this guy 2years ago while Emceeing at "Flamers Dance Krews Concert" and funny enough I couldn't get his name right but I knew his song's lyrics better than my national anthem. One thing stood out though, his voice was remarkable, the content of it was so deep and he was surely a great talent to look out for!
The grand rule of building or growing a loyal fan base for your music is ensuring that your product is worth promoting and worth listening to. Lately musicians have decide to sing just about anything. Our gospel music has somewhat lost the true meaning of the real gospel. So many irrelevant songs are being produced in the name of gospel music and this is simply because many young talents have realized that the gospel industry has grown to a all new level and gospel artists have became more and more united. With so many events happening every week, several awarding ceremonies and several groups that have emerged to nurture the upcoming talents through gospel, there is no doubt that we've not seen the Kenyan gospel industry! This, has however promoted the production of very meaningless songs and many producers are no longer considering the quality of the messages in such songs. As long as they are making good money from that, the output is left for us, the listeners, to decide whether it's worth our listen or not. Secular scenes are even worse so I'll save that discussion for another day.
Yenze and Crossing Over has won him an immense fan base and he is set on giving his very best to keep his fans entertained and inspired. His current project , INUA KIPAJI , a countrywide tour that involves giving talented youth a platform to showcase their talents, get a chance to interact with and learn from the best gospel acts, has been keeping him busy. INUA KIPAJI is his solo project but he has incorporated some of Kenya's Top gospel artists and to ice this cake, an Award Wining Deejay. This list includes his closest friend Guardian Angel, L-jay Masai, Jfam di longbwoy and the creme de la creme, Dj Sadic of Genius Entertainment. These guys will be coming to the city near you so get your dancing shoes ready!
That's not all, he has a new video release coming up. With it's audio out, NJIA NDEFU, produced by Jacky B, is a song to look out for! "Mbona mimi, mbona hivi. Hii njia ni ndefu. Sometimes nahisi kungekuwa shortcut" he cries to God in the lyrics to this song. His mellow voice is breathtaking and gives you that bongo feel. His video shoot is almost done and will be launched this month. Good luck to NJIA NDEFU, may it be yet another hit!
