Who Did It Better ? : Size 8 Vs Mr. Seed
Rule #1 of a good hater/ critic is : know the product or services of your "Person Of Interest" very well before you attack. So i decided to cram few lyrics from size 8's new song "Ni Yesu" before I attack.
Halleluyah he is worthy of all our praise,
Celebrate, come on celebrate, Jesus *2
He is worthy of our praise
Cheza (ametenda mema),
Ruka (ameshinda vita),
vigelegele kwa yesu *3,

I want to call this a come-back tune but no, i won't. Size 8 ensured that she remained on our screens even when we all thought she should be on her maternity leave. She started this exciting shopping program on K24 that reminded me of OMO-pick a box .(those programs that you think are a bit crazy but you always find yourself glued to the screen). We all have to agree she is good at what she does.
(Note: every hater loves the people they criticize, they just have a hard time admitting that they love them)
Okay back to the topic, I've listened to this song and I love every bit of the vocals and message in it, thanks to Dominic Khaemba, it's audio producer, the Afro beats are amaaazing! This is what i'd like to refer to as the Urban Worship Music. Yet another one of the same genre was released the same month by the one and only, Mr.SEED, the prodigal son. I didn't have to cram his because i assumed i can have it on my fingertips in thirty seconds.
Yes, the missing son is back and, in this case, back to work and to what he loves doing. The last time I heard of Mr.Seed was like 8 months ago when he released, " Happy Day" featuring Pitson, le grand presindent! It didn't play for so long but it was good tune. I'll categorize "Nicheze" as a Urban Gospel so lets allow size 8 to retain the "worship" part. Produced by Nairobi Records, I'll consider nicheze "fair" and give it the benefit of doubt.
Both Ni Yesu and Nicheze videos are produced by X-Antonio and seem to resemble each other in story line. I imagined they shared the same script but realized that size 8's group decided to polish their moves and did so much "dab-bing" all through and Mr.Seed's dancers retained their usual dance moves. By usual i mean they might be the Moves you've seen in his past three recent past videos. One more thing, While Size 8 calls out her dancers from nowhere to come and join her to praise the Lord in dance (of which some of them are passengers who decide to put their journey to "ocha" on hold to dance, i assume), Seed on the other hand seems to be attracting his dancers from the streets with his watch. I'm sorry i had to use the watch, i just noticed he keeps checking out his watch and all of a sudden they follow him.

Uploaded on YouTube yesterday, Nicheze is now at around 400 Views, size 8's Ni Yesu had over 10k on its first week on YouTube. Let's hope Seed can catch up and get back in the game full time.
This ain't a competition but i would love to see both songs battle it out on the weekly count downs considering the fact that I assumed they modified one script to fit both videos.
Quote: let no one tell you that this ain't business. Competition is good!!
Disclaimer alert : Thou shall not mis-quote me, am just an idle critic
You must have taken your time to observe the details of the two songs. Nice critique there! I join you in assuming that the two songs are based on same script or storyline.
